Our Verdict
Mean Girls is the sharper film — Tina Fey's script has more precision and the social commentary bites harder. Clueless is the warmer film — Alicia Silverstone's Cher is genuinely lovable rather than merely sympathetic. Both are essential feminist comedies. Mean Girls is the better movie; Clueless is the better feel-good experience.
